Lesson 12: “Fruitful in the Land of My Affliction”, Genesis 40–45
Lesson 13: Bondage, Passover, and Exodus,” Exodus 1–3; 5–6; 11–14
Note to The Green Mountain 1st Ward Gospel Doctrine Class: we completes our study of the time of the Patriarchs this week. In addition, since the next lesson covers the Passover we will spend some time discussing that celebration, which begins Tuesday evening, March 30, this year. Next week we will finish portions of Lessons 12 & 13 not completed this week.
Also, as you and your family prepare for Easter, here is a useful handout (Easter Season Readings) with readings for the week and some inspirational quotes and art. Eric D. Huntsman (Associate Professor of Ancient Scripture, Brigham Young University) is the author.

OVERVIEW:
- Joseph interprets the dreams of the butler, the baker, and Pharaoh. Pharaoh makes Joseph ruler over all Egypt.
- Joseph makes himself known to his brothers and forgives them.
- The Lord calls Moses to deliver Israel from bondage.
- The Lord sends plagues upon Egypt.
- The Lord instructs Moses in the preparation of the Passover.
- The children of Israel cross the Red Sea.
Here are the handouts for this week’s lesson: Old Testament Lesson 12, Old Testament Lesson 13.
