“A Mission of Saving”

This lesson discusses an account of suffering, death, and rescue: the story of the Martin and Willie handcart companies. We can learn much about faith, obedience, love, and perseverance from the example of these and other pioneers. The key message of this lesson is one of rescue. The gospel of Jesus Christ provides rescue to each of us. We must also be prepared to rescue our brothers and sisters when the need arises.
