“Sealed … for Time and for All Eternity”

The Savior said: In the celestial glory there are three heavens or degrees; And in order to obtain the highest, a man must enter into this order of the priesthood [meaning the new and everlasting covenant of marriage]; And if he does not, he cannot obtain it. (D&C 131:1-3)
Jeffrey R. Holland: …second only to your membership in the Church, your “membership in a marriage” is the most important association you will have in time and eternity–and to the faithful what doesn’t come in time will come in eternity. (BYU Devotional, 15 February 2000)
A study of this lesson will help us understand that eternal marriage is an essential part of Heavenly Father’s plan, help us prepare youth for eternal marriage, and encourage married couples to abide in the marriage covenant.
